Osobisty profil

After finishing her job-training WESPA travelled to Great Britain and began to sing in several choirs, i.e. Umoja Gospel Choir of Leicester. After she returned from Great Britain she joined the dialect-band Weiler as background-vocalist. Thus, she started to write songs for the band, mainly in dialect. When the band finally split because of musical differences, WESPA decided to make her own way. In 2006 she gets to know the producer Bob Gutdeutsch and they recorded three songs of her own in his studio in Vienna. In 2007 the song Schau mi ned so an and in 2012 A liabes Wort had been awarded as Act of the year of the Project Pop!, a founded project of AKM. Both songs had been published on a promotion-album, which had been promoted and played at the exhibition Midem in Cannes and Popkomm in Berlin. In 2010 WESPA released her first album and worked together with producer Ray Watts, who convinced her to sing in German. The single Sieh mich nicht so an reached straitaway position 35 of the Airplay-Charts. In 2011 WESPA applied for the competition Troubadour Lied- und Chanson-Wettbewerb in Stuttgart and succeeded to be picked of the jury out of 150 applicants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. To be able to participate, she asked her former band-colleague to perform with her live on stage. The acoustic-duo convinced the jury immediately and WESPA had been awarded as best newcomer. Brian Leonard has supported WESPA from that day on regarding live-events and they both appeared in public as WESPA MUSIC. The guitar of Brian Leonard is crucial for the particular sound of WESPA’s songs and WESPA writes her songs now in English. In 2016 they get to know producer Roman Steinkogler and they decided to produce an album with English songs. It took nearly two years to finish the album, but haste makes waste.
