Jeremy ‘Harry’ Harris – Vocals Scott Howe – Guitars Derrin Kee – Drums Craig Skelton - Bass/Keyboards “STONE CIRCLE is everything you’d want an Australian rock band to be: hard working, passionate, not too self-conscious.” (Chris Martin – Spaceship news) “Front man Jeremy Harris led the band through a great set of polished melodic rock. Scott Howe’s lead guitar soared throughout the songs and in Craig Skelton and Derrin Kee they have a rhythm section the equal of any other in this town. Through ballads ‘Gero Love Song’ and ‘Lost’ and ballsy rockers ‘Transparent’ and ‘Living for the Sunshine’, Stone Circle never failed to impress for a moment.” (Shane Pinnegar – The Rockpit.net) Stone Circle came kicking and screaming into the world in July 2008. Months after forming, this power quartet from Perth, Western Australia performed at the after party for Def Leppard’s Australian tour. Stone Circle continues to push the new wave of Australian rock music having performed alongside the Galvatrons, End of Fashion and Something With Numbers. Refusing to be pigeonholed, they also display a diversity which has enabled them to support such iconic Australian artists as Daryl Braithwaite, Jon Stevens, Diesel and Joe Camilleri. Stone Circle is a rock band. Their songs are powerful and melodic, drawn from a vast array of influences and genres. It’s the attitude, mentality and approach of artists like Queen, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Robbie Williams and U2 that drives and inspires them. Live, Stone Circle are tight, passionate and energetic. Their enthusiasm is as contagious as their riffs and it is this foundation that sees Stone Circle consistently deliver larger than life performances to an ever growing legion of fans. It is these performances that have propelled Stone Circle into the popular consciousness, secured a second place in the coveted competition to support Bon Jovi, and have the band labelled ‘a true homage to the spirit of rock’ by Mix 94.5FM’s the Big Couch Stone Circle’s full length independent release ‘Living for the Sunshine’ was recorded in the first half of 2010 at Crank Recordings in Perth and mastered by Leon Zervos at Studios 301 in Sydney. Fresh from the launch of “Living For The Sunshine”, STONE CIRCLE were personally invited by Sir Bob Geldof’s management to perform at the exclusive after party of the charity event ‘Rock and Rebuild’ on Sunday 1st May, 2011, which was held at the Star City Casino in Sydney NSW. This after party event saw Stone Circle perform in the casino’s newest bar “Rock Lily” to a guest list of Sir Bob’s personal friends and music industry colleagues. In January 2011, Sir Bob’s management was provided an advance copy of the new Stone Circle album “Living for the Sunshine”. More requests for copies of the album materialised and in early April Stone Circle received a phone call informing them of Sir Bob’s intentions to put on the charity event. Stone Circle were asked to be part of the official after party as confirmation of the gig with major sponsors ANZ and Star City Casino was received. The rest of 2011 will see Stone Circle pursuing extensive touring and promotion throughout Australia and overseas. Press Reviews of Stone Circle’s live performances and their new album “Living for the Sunshine” This was a gig that will be talked about for years by everyone who saw it, such was the quality of the performances by each musician and the songs performed. If you like your rock hard and don’t like Stone Circle, there’s something wrong with you. Chris Martin Spaceship News All the normal Stone Circle traits were showcased – classy & mature song writing, incredibly tight rhythm section in Craig Skelton and Derrin Kee, stunning Van Halenesque fret abuse from Scott Howe, the best harmonies this side of Bon Jovi, and of course lead singer “Harry” Harris’s super-strength vocals and magnetic stage work. Shane Pinnegar The RockPit With a mixture of power-packed hard rock and more contemporary pop rock, the music is easily accessible and unsurprisingly popular considering Australia’s long-standing love affair with rock music….Stone Circle pay homage to the days when guitar solos were king and music was all about the babes. Any fans of the heyday of rock’n’roll should consider giving Stone Circle a listen. Careful, they’re loud. SHAUN COWE X Press Magazine “Living for the Sunshine” is razor sharp modern AOR which begs to be played on radio… You won’t find a better, more polished US flavoured rock album from an Australian band any time soon – “Living for the Sunshine” is a collection of classy, catchy, rocking tunes.
