It is difficult to get people to read a band biography right from the start to the end. RitJ –the shorter and cooler form of Rumble In The Jungle- formed in early 2011 near the beautiful bavarian city Nuremberg. Since every single one of us was not older than at least 16, we took the classical way covering Blink-182, Sum41, All Time Low and all the other bands we admired back then and still do. It took us almost a year play the first thing we would honestly call a “gig” because our bassist’s grandma kept up comparing us to plucked crows. It appeared that she probably hasn’t got the whole thing, because since being on stage that very first time demands came in constantly. We played our first Tour through the clubs&bars of Nuremberg and surroundings in 2013, opening up for greater local bands like Basement Bash and Asterial. This spark of touring lead us straight in the studio to record our first collection of self-written songs. Funny, as most of the bands we know does it the other way round… In 2014 three of us finished their Abitur, so we got enough time to expand our publicity out to larger cities in southern Germany, such as Ingolstadt and Munich where we got quite a lot inspiration and took important lessons in our favorite subject “How to get the crowd excited”. Since 2015 we’re trying to get our issues a little bit more aligned, so we are currently recording our first EP called “Between Dreams And Growing Up” and planning a conceived tour for 2016.
