Popkomm is one of the largest international meeting places of the branch, taking place from 7th till 9th September 2011 in Berlin at the Airport Berlin Tempelhof. Whilst the focus lies on Germany and Europe Popkomm is attracting exhibitors e.g. from the USA, Australia and South America. Eastern European Countries are drawn to Berlin, confirming its position as the ‘Gateway to the East’. Popkomm is business oriented and offers a communicative and compact presentation area to key player, innovative companies, live and digital music business, country stands etc. The well known Popkomm Congress will take place at Airport Berlin Tempelhof on 7th and 08th September. The Popkomm Day Showcase festival is the live music segment of Popkomm and will take place in and around the Airport Berlin Tempelhof on 7th and 8th September 2011. Popkomm will also place a selected number of artists on the line up of this year’s Berlin Festival, also taking place at Tempelhof, on 09th – 10th September 2011.
