This impressively proves the Female Fronted Trio with the new EP "Hunger". Six tracks can be found on the piece of jewelery, which, matching the audible influences - for the nostalgic - also appears on vinyl. The Pinpricks are musically matured. While the debut album was still pretty straight forward and gritty, they remain true to their roots on "Hunger", but the basic sound of the late '70s and early' 90s is also accompanied by crossover passages and modern hard rock sounds. The opener "puppet" could easily have found on "Proud Like A God" of Guano Apes. And with "Into The Light" succeeds a rock anthem of the modern era, which holds a lot of potential for the live performance.
