I was born in South Korea in 1988, raised in Germany and am currently based in London working as a Freelance Digital Marketing Professional. I am mainly working as a Digital Marketing / Social Manager for the global concert movement Sofar Sounds, which puts on secret, intimate gigs in living rooms and other spaces with upcoming and known artists in more than 300 cities around the world. In 2010 I was awarded the degree Bachelor of Arts in Music Business from Popakademie Baden-Württemberg (University of Popular Music and Music Business) in Mannheim, Germany. In 2014, I graduated from University of Westminster in London with the degree Master of Arts in Music Business Management (with Merit). During my studies I did three music business-related internships at both small and big companies and worked as a student assistant for an annual digital music business conference. Apart from that I've got more than 2 years experience of working in an award-winning London-based digital agency and I'm also experienced in artist management, promotion, artist development, A&R, PR and tour management, having worked with artists and music companies for almost 10 years. Besides, I am a events professional who has worked in stage management, event management and production, stewarding, hospitality, booking and event promotion for several festivals (references below), several one-off shows and companies. I also used to be a freelance writer for various German- and English-speaking music webzines and I'm experienced in putting together presskits for artists, writing biographies, fact sheets, press releases, copy for websites / social media channels and newsletters as well as translating written pieces from English to German or German to English. I'm always interested in expanding my knowledge about the various methods to promote and manage artists, products and brands (including digital innovations and state-of-the-art marketing strategies) and I'm always open for freelance jobs, collaborations and networking opportunities in the global music / entertainment industry. My personal interests are concerts / festivals, film, arts, literature, travelling, social media, creative writing, being outdoors, exploring new cities and cultures, fitness and good (vegetarian) food.
