Shkabang is a bunch of musicians who have played stage many times--- separately. From rock, electronica, jazz, reggae, funk and bollywood, they are doing/have done/and will do all of that. The band loves big sounds and the rush that comes with banging basslines and their sound can best be described as electro-pop-rock! Comprising five members, the band came together for one reason only- to make some noise! They're a fun lot and that's very evident on stage! Shiraz Bhattacharya is a ball of energy! A video director by day and probably the music scene's most banging drummer by night, Shiraz gives Shkabang the raw power they need on stage! That's not all. Shiraz is also part of the immnesely popular rock act, Pentagram! Abhijit Nalani is the heart and soul of this band in more ways than one. All the blips and bloops that you hear come from his laptop! And no, he isn't a DJ, he's Shkabang's keyboardist! Nalani has been part of Bombay Black and currently plays with alternative rock act Hipnotribe besides working with Bollywood music directors Vishal+Shekhar Niranjan 'Pozy' Dhar is known for his contribution to India's most adored rock band, Zero! Pozy is also part of great new acts like Tough On Tobacco and KNAP! Johan Pais is an automobile junkie and Shkabang's bass guitarist! Loose T's, his signature cap and the six pack best define Johan! He too has been part of some great acts like Helga's Fun Castle and currently also plays with Tough On Tobacco! Thump! Frontwoman Anushka Manchanda is a livewire on stage! Anushka is a playback singer in Bollywood amongst many other things- quite the diva in rock music circles.
