個人簡介

Ish Shehrawat is a Composer, sound artist and Producer from Delhi. He studied Classical guitar at the Delhi school of Music and then later ventured into Jazz, Latin and electronic music. He has worked with Sound Art and Video installations and while at a Residency at Sarai-CSDS released an Audio compilation called [t0]. He also formed a music label called Sound reasons Records (http://soundreasons.in) to promote the new sounds of the Avant-garde and Electro-acoustic music from around the world. His primary field of interest is Sound Art and Installation along with electro-acoustic music and he has sound designed/ composed music for independent short films and plays/performances, for example for director Zuleikha Allana chaudhari and a performance by Hans Marussich. He is currently working on a 'Sound Installation' for an exibition called Action Field Kodra in Greece and composing music for a Dance performance by Gati Dance Forum. He has just finished a residency in Zurich commissioned by Pro-Helvetia. || Sound reasons Records || This label is set to bring together the different styles of music and productions from all over the world. As a label originating from India, we in our first compilation sound reasons t 0 are trying to reflect the sonic spaces of India and our interpretations of these via sound art and compositions. India's deep and diverse music has taught us together about multiplicity and minimalism and our works interpret these with the use of contemporary tools of electronica and synthesis. Sound Reasons records is set to make these interpretations of sonic spaces that surround us with the use of sonic art/sound installation and represent them through a mix acoustic and electronic compositions. 't0' is the first sonic compilation to be released under the Sound Reason banner which is produced at the Sarai Media Lab. Sound reasons 't0'has been put together to linearly construct 'sonic spaces' we inhabit, and the moods these sounds subject us to. This is a highly experimental album featuring various artists from all over the world like SoundSkill, monoton, diF, Audio Pervert, da -Saz, DJ Spooky, edGeCut and more
