Arjun "chiq" Dhanraj has been a musician for as long as he can remember. He started playing the harmonica at the age of 3 and switched to the guitar at the age of 10. Chiq also tried his hands at acting after shifting to Bombay, the entertainment capital of India. He has featured in a couple of Indian movies and has somehow managed to make a living out of his passions! He also works as a Brand Manager, India for brands like PRS (Paul Reed Smith) guitars, Vox Amps, TC Electronic, D'Addario and the likes through Furtados.

NerveRek NerveRek was formed in August 2003 by lead singer, guitarist Arjun “chiq” Dhanraj. The band started out as a three piece thrash metal college band based out of Chennai and has evolved over the years into a progressive rock/metal semi pro band from Bombay, India! NerveRek has made its presence felt in quite a few college and semi pro competitions. Some worth mentioning are NLS, Jipmer, IIT Saarang, Campus Rock Idols, Underground and many more. Along with individual prizes, the band has won many of the competitions they have played. Other than competitions, the band has headlined a number of shows in Chennai, Bangalore, Pondicherri, Coimbatore and other cities in India. During their early days they also played at Razz in Bombay. NerveRek has shared the stage with bands like Silk Route, Moksha, The Scorpions Iron Maiden, Pain of Salvation along with number of other Semi pro bands in the past. The band's single Flesh For Food featured in the metal compilation – Absolute Indian Metal Vol 1. Another single Sky Mystify Me featured in a more recent Rolling Stones compilation. Today NerveRek is a Bombay based band and looks forward to recording their debut full length album titled Forever Endeavour.
