Put together some guitar riffs, the sound of a bamboo flute, a tabla and a funky drum groove. Brew it with some earthly vocals and you get ‘FILTER COFFEE’. Formerly a trio – FILTER COFFEE the band takes its name as it believes in always producing a sound as fresh and refreshing as the coffee. The band focusses primarily on folk music from around the country and world with instruments like flute, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, and World Percussions/Tabla & Vocals. The band was formed about 2 years ago, with a couple of like-minded musician friends, and today we have successfully toured around the country and played more than over 150 concerts for a wide-range of audience. As a band and individually we have performed at some of the most prestigious festivals in India and abroad like The Prithvi Festival, The Delhi International Arts Festival, Celebrating Unity Festival, Tansen Thyagaraja Festival, India –Pakistan Youth Forum, The Mysore Dussera, Festival, The Kalaghoda Festival, World Music Day Festival at Alliance, The Jersey Music & Arts Center (U K ) among others.
