Nirmal Augastaya –Work His creative journey starts with literature when at the early age of 9 he started writing. In 1989 he got introduced to different form of arts in an art festival and he was very much impressed with painting and a Hawaaiiyan Guitar player playing Raag BaageShree. Inspired and touched he picked up Hawaaiiyan Guitar and started taking lessons of Indian classical from a noted Guru Sri Ratan Ghosh who taught him the basics of Indian Classical Music and fetched a good Hawaiian guitarist inside him. During this training he passed senior-diploma in Indian Classical music with Hawaiian guitar from Prayag Sangeet Samitee. Grew up with the natural instinct of writing, Music and Painting this training added more dimension in his pursuit which gradually turned into a passion and finally into a career. After two years he started composing melodies on the words written by him. But there was something in music which always hypnotized him and it was Harmony .This thirst drove him in a world of harmonically designed Western classical music and a complete instrument, the queen of all instruments-The Piano-forte. He completed Grade-7 in practical and Grade -5 in theory from the Associated Board Of The Royal School Of Music under the dynamic guidance of Late Mr. Sam Framrose Engineer (FTCL) from the ABRSM, India centre. During the training he learnt various flavors of music which enriched him on the whole and he also worked on his compositions, nurtured them with the music arrangement, and groomed them into harmonically design melodies. During this phase he composed many songs of different flavor common for the listeners of Indian sub-continent. Regional, Pop, Devotional, Ghazal, Hard Rock and some Instrumental compositions in jazz, he involved himself in this entire genre to grow up. Music Composer In 1997, he got a countdown show -“SAB GOL MAL HAI” for DD-2. The title song –“Gaane Naaye Naaye Gaane” became very popular. After SAB GOL MAAL HAI people recognized him in Patna as a new generation music director. After that serial he worked as a Music Director and Music Arranger In different local music albums. He worked in the albums of devotional songs and jingles also. He composed the ad music track of very famous –“SUDHA MILK AND ITS OTHER PRODUCTS.” In May 2006 he shifted to Mumbai which has expanding horizons, altering definitions and a huge book with no preface. This he perceived here as a struggler. In late 2006 he met Mr. Jainendra Baxi, a Director who was going through his story-“Hostel’s Postbag”. He was motivated by the storyline and he decided to make a film. Finally they summed up in a short film –“Father Letters Prejudice”. This was selected on Steven Spielberg’s site ONTHELOT.com for showcase for a coule of months. It is a film of around 8 minutes and he had to put music through it. There were no songs and all the shades of screenplay had to be supported by ‘sound’ only. He composed a ‘serenade’ type of music and enriched this with other sounds of different instruments taken from keyboard. In the last He fused few seconds of pure classical flavor ending on a glissando. In Feb 2009 He Signed a Hindi Feature Film ‘Kya Yahi Sach Hai’ as a Music Director and Lyricist Based on the popular novel Carnage By Angels which has got California film award in best film category in 2011 and is being released shortly. In Sep 2009 his work was noticed by the Producer Raju Mavani and he was signed as a Music composer cum Lyricist in his coming film ‘ACT’ which is being released shortly. Apart from he has done the Music for short films SHELTER DANCE and DRESS CODE and Corporate films for ICRS and Vaastu Work as a Writer/Poet At a very early age he started writing poems and stories in Hindi and in English as well. Some of his poems got published in mainstream Literature Magazine Like ‘Aajkal, Akshar Khabar, Disha, Kadambini, And Recently In Pagdandi. At 17 he wrote a philosophical poem- Koi Nahi Tera Hai Koi Mera which was liked by the producer Mr. Raju Mavani and this poem has been included as a song composed by him in the film ACT which is being releasing shortly. In late 90’s he has written many comics strip and stories for leading child magazines like SUMAN SAURABH, CHAMPAK, NANHE SAMRAT and BALHANS in his original name Niraj. In the film ACT he has written all 3 lyrics and composed it as well. In his debut Bollywood work Kya Yahi Sach Hai he has written one song ‘Uda Ke Mujhko Ye Hawaayein’ which can be listened on the official site of the film. In an innovative attempt in Jan 2011 he wrote and composed an original soundtrack ‘Hodi-Hodi’ for a documentary- Odyssey In Epoch and produced a song on environment in which the plight of Madh-Versova Island in Mumbai is narrated through song by fishes. Very soon this satirical song is available on Hungama.com for ringer download. His debut poem collection ‘ISSI KUCHH MEIN’ is ready to hit stalls which includes his published and unpublished poems.
