Luis Pinto, A.K.A. SonicFox, is a portuguese composer, music producer, arranger, pianist / keyboardist, sound designer and sound engineer. His work can be heard on more than 50 albums released over the past two decades. Some of those albums reached the No. 1 slot on the official Portuguese charts and became multi-platinum. Throughout his career he has played live, in Portugal and around the world, in hundreds of concerts with portuguese famous artists (Dulce Pontes, Luis Represas, Anjos, Rita Guerra, Beto, Adelaide Ferreira, etc), as well as a keyboardist in TV shows' bands. His versatility and refined aesthetic sense coupled with his large experience and knowledge of music and audio engineering, allows him to work in diverse genres such as Pop/Rock, R&B, Hip-Hop, Bossa Nova, Jazz, Ambient, Electronic, Moving Picture and Video Games music, just to name a few. Due to his ability to turn a simple song into a commercial hit, Luis Pinto is often requested by major portuguese music labels to produce their artists' albums . His technical skills include various DAW Platforms, namely Avid Pro Tools, Apple Logic Pro, Cakewalk Sonar, Ableton Live and many virtual instruments and DSP audio plugins. Using the latest technology applied to virtual instruments, he's able to make a mockup and replicate a band or a full orchestra in a highly convincing way, even for the most discerning ear. Luis Pinto is co-founder and former technical director of 'Sonic State - Produções Musicais Lda' in Lisbon, a well-known portuguese music production company and recording studios.
