Kid Norkjen (Norvald Kjenstad) is a songwriter born in Norway, recording in Nashville. He started as the vocalist and songwriter in the Norwegian band “The Steps” in the 80s. They released three albums and three singles before they broke up. A Best of CD album was released in 2003. As a songwriter Kid is inspired of the great masters from the 60s like Lennon -McCartney and Carole King - Gerry Goffin. In December 2014 Kid released the Christmas single “Christmas time”. It was runner up in UK songwriting contest that year. Vocal by Nashville singer Mary Webb. It was also selected for Holiday Retail Holiday playlist. The sound design team approved the track for addition to their Holiday playlist in the Warehouses in USA Christmas 2015. Kid was now recording his tracks in Nashville, and a CD album with 16 tracks called “The Nashville Session” was released in February of 2015. Six vocalists from Nashville did the vocals. The UK based radio stations started playing Kids tracks, and more stations was to follow. Now Kids tracks are played in many countries, and his Christmas songs are getting more and more popular. His new album ”This is me”, was released in October 2015. This time he sings all the tracks himself. The track “Living in Peace” were getting lot of airplay around the world after the terror attack in Paris. A new Christmas single was released 15th of November 2015, called “Wonderful Christmas”. Vocal by Mary Webb. And another Christmas track called “ It`s Christmas “ with vocal by Teddy James, is included in the compilation album “Christmas Around the Corner” released this Christmas by Big Fuss records.
