Personal profile
From the first CD Matt Richardson (Opulentsounds)produced for his Vuja De label – 2002’s Las Palmas Collective (mixed by Martin East - distributed in North America by Lakeshore Records), he has created vivid soundscapes designed to carry you out of your world and into that flowing, grooving place you really wanna be. It’s music you connect with – deeply, emotionally, viscerally. Since that first release, Matt has collaborated with some of today’s foremost visionary artists to create stunning sounds for the music, film, lounge and club worlds. He designed the sound for Boney James track “You Don’t Have To Go Home” on his Grammy nominated 2004 release, PURE. He collaborated with Boney again, writing and producing a track with Trent Warren for MoFo Stereo’s 2006 release BRIGHT LIGHTS. Matt also contributed his keen ear to MoFo’s 2008 MOVIE MUSIC, VOLUMES 1 & 2. Matt’s compelling collection of CD compilations include( Tom and Andy's label) AtomCandy’s FAST FORWARD 1, 2, & 3 and Groove Gravy Records BRAZIL REMIXED (track 12 – “Dreams of Eurydice”). “Dreams of Eurydice” was also featured in director Daniel Faraldo’s 2004 film HOW DOES IT FEEL. Early 2011 brought Matt his first scoring gig for the film " Cravenous" for Director Carolyn Cavalero. 2012 Matt was one of the composer's for the Chilean film "EPIFANIA" directed by Pato Milad
