The song was pretty much inspired by reflecting on everyday life, conversations, observations. Having talks with some loved ones the night of the actual recording about certain ways people are marginalized in the United States. Wage inequality, economic discrimination, employment discrimination. . . Couldn't help but reflect on what some of those things meant to me in my personal life.
