Over the years the Indian sub continent has been brewing quiet a few underground rock bands, and in the summer of 2005 Chennai gave us Junkyard Groove. Ameeth Thomas, Siddharth Srinivasan, Jerry John and Craig Maxworth got together almost randomly and realized that they had something to contribute to the world of Indian Rock and Roll.. By 2007 the band was making waves in the Indian rocks circuit. They won every competition they took part in. In March they opened up the Desert Rock Festival on both days in Dubai. The line up at the festival included Incubus, Prodigy, Robert Plant, inflames, Stone Sour and many more. In 2008 they played at the first Rock In India concert with headliners Machine Head and Megadeth. They became a staple diet in the college rock circuit. They are known for being an eccentric live band.
