Founder with my two sisters of the vocal Trio “TriOrient” devoted to the interpretation of traditional songs of the Lebanese inheritanceand middle-Eastern a cappella or with instrumental accompaniment, in unison and in polyphony. In 1984, I have graduated from the University of Lebanon with a degree in psychology. I traveled to Germany where I continued my studies with Felix Rolke (1984-1992) at Richard Strauss Conservatory of Munich, obtaining my State diploma of opera performance in 1990 and achieved a further two years specialization in oratorio repertoire. My first performance as soloist in Germany was the world premiere of the six “Lieder” of the composer Alfred von Beckerath at Augsburg. Since 1987, I performed, with “Sarband”, or alone more than 200 concerts in tens of international festivals and the most prestigious concerts halls in particular in Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Slovenia, Holland, Sweden, Greece, England, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Canada, The U.S.A., Bulgaria, Turkey, Estonia, Canary Islands, Morocco, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, on invitation of private organizations or within the framework of prestigious European festivals of classical music, Mediterranean, eastern, religious, ethnic or medieval. In Lebanon, I performed several concerts in the most prestigious festivals of Lebanon, in particular the International festival of Baalbeck ( 1998, 2000 and 2005 ); the International Festival of Beiteddine ( 2002 ) and, the same year, the King’s Singers Invited her to be their guest to their concert at Festival Al-Bustan.

Tri Orient is a group of three Lebanese sisters that have achieved great success thanks to their sweet angelic voices. They are Amal, Aida, and Fadia Tomb. Their father was a renowned painter (and an amateur musician); their mother was also a gifted singer with a beautiful voice (she studied singing at the Lebanese National Conservatoire). The girls sang together on more than one occasion in their youth. First, in their local parish church choir, then as a triplet singing on stage and later singing together on a T.V. youth program. As the sisters grew, Amal linked with the renowned Rahbani brothers (Assi and Mansour) while continuing her studies at the Lebanese National Conservatoire. She then found success in theatrical musicals with an emphasis on culture and education. She also teamed up with her husband-Jean Abi Ghanem-to establish her own musical group in which she went on to sing solo. The group was extremely successful with this type of stage musicals especially in the 70’s. The second of the three sisters was Aida, who later was known for her stage name-Ronza. Ronza also began her singing career as a soloist with the Rahbani brothers and quickly adapted their style in the stage musicals and later in musicals with Marwan and Ghadi Rahbani. After earning a diploma in classical and opera singing at the National Conservatoire in Beirut, she continued in starring roles in stage musicals. The youngest of the three-Fadia-also began her musical career as a soloist alongside her sister Aida with the Rahbani brothers. She then changed direction and steered towards singing opera accompanied by the music of the middle ages, eastern and western. She then went on to earn a diploma in classical and opera singing from the Richard Strauss Conservatoire in Munich-Germany. Later she became a soloist with the Sarband group singing to the tunes of medieval music which she went on to win world acclaim. She was also successful in other solo efforts with the Sarband as she sang in musical concerts all over the world, especially two of which were held on home soil; the Baalbeck and Beit Eddine festivals. After a long break from any musical activity Fadia was occupied by studying, traveling, and involving herself in other professional ventures. Finally, after each of the three sisters found their own musical niche they teamed up again in 1994 to perform once again. The success in their performance encouraged them to form a singing group which they later named ‘Tri Orient’. The reason behind establishing the group was for the three sisters to perform folklore songs of different artistic tastes, eras, and cultures together-especially that of Lebanese, eastern, medieval and ancient folklore as well as classical folklore. They then discovered that they could adapt the musical distribution for their voices-either to be sung accompanied by musical instruments or without-identical to the Polyphonic method for classical music composition (Fuga) without any deviation from the original composition. The ‘Tri Orient’ group also added to newly composed songs to their collection to suit their musical tastes. One of the major strengths of the ‘Tri Orient’ is that they can adapt to singing eastern and western music professionally. They Had different religious and musical concerts in Lebanon, Jordan, Abu Dhabi, France, Belgium, Canada, Cairo, Alexander and Bahrain.
