What is Music2Deal and how does it help me make deals?
Music2Deal is the business network and marketplace for music professionals. It helps you connect with the right people, stay in contact, and turn those connections into real deals such as licensing, collaborations or artist opportunities. Music2Deal follows a simple principle: Get in contact → Stay in contact → Close deals When you post an Offer or a Need, your network is informed via email and feed – and you will not miss opportunities when others are looking for music or partners. What should I do first after login?
Complete your profile and add a profile picture if not done yet. Then create your first Offer or Need to become visible and receive matches and responses from other members. To be deleted: At Edit profile you can change your profile as well as your picture.

How does Music2Deal help me make deals?
If you wish to cancel your membership, simply write us a quick email to info@music2deal.com. You will receive a confirmation after all your data has been deleted from our database.

How do I manage my profile and account details?
Go to “Edit Profile” to update your profile and picture. link: music2deal.com/mymusic/profile In “Personal Data” you can change your email address and contact details. link: music2deal.com/mymusic/contactdata To delete your profile, please send an email to info@music2deal.com . In your Settings, you can also manage important options such as: link: music2deal.com/mymusic/settings • language and password • your public profile URL (public ID) • who can contact you • privacy settings (e.g. public profile, map visibility) • notifications (e.g. matches, network activity, newsletters) . Old: At Personal Data you can change your e-mail address as well as your contact information.
Create Offers, Needs, Posts & Events

Why should I create Offers and Needs?
Offers and Needs are the core of Music2Deal. They make your profile visible, trigger matches and notify relevant contacts. Without them, it is very difficult to generate deals. To be deleted: On Music2Deal, each song is part of an Offer. You can upload your music by creating an Offer as an artist, as a song, as a licensing or as a vocalist.

Why can’t I create a new Offer?
• An Offer is what you have – for example music, artists, or services. • A Need is what you are looking for – for example songs, artists, or business partners. To be deleted: With a Basic Membership you can only have one Offer active. So in order to create more Offers you need to be a Premium member. To upgrade your membership, go to My Account and choose the membership you want. If you are a Premium member and you have reached the maximum number of 5 offers, you’ll need to upgrade to Premium Plus (25 Offers) or Premium Executive (50 Offers).

What types of Offers can I create?
Each category has a different purpose: Songs → compositions for artists and projects Licensing → music for film, TV and commercials Artists → for live performances and record deals Vocalists → for live and studio work Because each category has a different purpose, you may need to upload the same song multiple times to reach the right audience and improve matching. When should I use a Post or Event instead of an Offer or Need?
Use a Post or Event to share updates, news or general information. Events can be online (with a URL) or offline (with a location). You can also use Posts to highlight your Offers or Needs and increase their visibility. Groups allow you to exchange ideas with members who share similar interests. How do I create an Offer or a Need?
You can create Offers and Needs in two ways: • Use the blue “+ Create” button on the left side of your Feed • Or use the input field at the top of your Feed (“My Network”) You can also manage, create, edit, delete and share them inside the Your Offers & Needs section. To be deleted: Just click on "Post Need" in the section you wish to find what you’re looking for. This could be for an artist, for a song, for a license, for a vocalist or for a member. You have to write your Need in your local language and also in English so that Music2Deal members from other countries can read it.

How do I create and manage Posts and Events?
Create a Post or Event using the input field at the top of your Feed (“My Network”). To edit or delete your Posts and Events, go to “My Posts & Events” (4th tab under “My Network”). There you can use “Edit” or “Delete”.

Why can’t I create more Offers?
Basic members can have one active Offer. Premium plans allow more Offers depending on the level. If you cannot create additional Offers, you may need to upgrade your membership or deactivate an existing Offer. If your membership changes to Basic, additional Offers will be set offline automatically. As a Basic member, you can activate and deactivate your Offers, but only one Offer can be active at a time. In general, the more Offers and Needs you create, the higher your visibility and chances for business opportunities.

Why am I not found as an artist, singer or songwriter?
Your profile alone is not enough to be found for specific music opportunities. To appear as an artist, vocalist or songwriter in the platform, you need to create an Offer in the corresponding category. For example: Artist → create an Artist Offer Vocalist → create a Vocalist Offer Songwriter → create a Song Offer Offers are what other members search for and what the system matches.

What is an “Always Needed” and how is it different from a Need?
An “Always Needed” describes your ongoing main requirement and is set in your profile (“Edit Profile”). It is visible as a permanent request to other members. For specific or time-limited requests, you should create a regular Need under Your Offers & Needs. Link: ..... mymusic/business/wanted To be deleted: You can always share your Music Offers and Needs - just click on them and use the "share" button. Profile Success

What is Profile Success Score?
Imagine, if you go to a business event and stay in a corner, what will be happen? Nothing. Same hold for Music2Deal. So it is important to have a good profile including a profile picture. Moreover you need Offers and Needs to get attraction and they will lead to visitors for your profile which might bring in other business possibilities. Last not least, you need business friends which matches to your business. As it is important to stay in contact with them all your business friends on Music2Deal will be informed about new Music Offers and Needs. But also check out with whom you are business friends with. For example If you are a singer without writing songs it makes no sense to be connected to a publisher. So such a business friend will not match to your business and the success rate will not increase.

What is the algorithm behind "Profile Success"?
a) Profile (Max 30%):
A picture will give you 10 credits. 5 credits for your city. Two credits for each filled-in text profile information and 1 credit for every "Always Needed". Every other profile entry also gets 1 credit each.
b) Offers & Needs (Max 30%)
The recommended Offer/Need for your profile will get you 10 credits.
Every additional Offer gives 3 credits and every additional Need gives 2 credits.
c) Number of matched Friends (Max 40%)
Every business friend who matched to your profile = 0.5 point
Additionally, the Profile Success will also be influenced by your visits to Music2Deal. -
What is a recommended Offer or Need?
Depending on your business type, Music2Deal suggests Offers and Needs that match your profile. For example, if you are a Vocalist, we recommend you to post a Vocalist Offer.
Matching Tool

How does the Matching Tool work?
Our technology analyzes each Offer and Need created by our members, and the details that are specified, and then automatically displays any relevant Needs and Offers. If you do not currently have any Offers or Needs online, you will still be shown any relevant Business Matches according to your profile information.

Where can I see my matches?
Here you can see your latest matches to your Business (Profile), Offers and Needs. All existing matches can be seen by clicking on your Offer or Need. All Matches for your Business (Profile) could be seen here.

Too many or too few matches?
If there are no matches shown to your business (profile), Offers or Needs, your information may be too specific. Try it with fewer requirements. Conversely, if there are too many matches shown, you may wish to be a bit more specific, so you can see more relevant results in what you’re looking for or offering.

Example of a Match
If an artist in the U.S. posts a Need that he is looking for a manager in the UK, all relevant managers will be displayed on his Need page and all relevant managers will also see his Need in their profile matches. If a publisher posts a Need that he is looking for an up-tempo hip-hop song in English, all relevant songs will be shown on the page of this Need and all members who are offering such a song will see this match at their corresponding Song Offers.
Membership and Pricing

Where do I find details about the Membership plans?
Just click on My Account. If you are not yet a member of Music2Deal, click on Rates. There you’ll find details about each of the different Membership plans including pricing.

Which membership do I have when I sign up for Music2Deal?
When you sign up for Music2Deal you automatically receive a Premium Membership for one month for free. One way to continue this membership is simply by signing up 2 new business friends each month, otherwise the Premium Membership ends after one month and becomes a free Basic Membership. Or, you can upgrade your membership and buy easily Credits.

How do I upgrade or downgrade my membership?
Just go to My Account and select the type of Premium Membership you want.

Is there a term?
There is no term for Basic and the Premium Membership plans. The Premium Membership plan automatically ends after one month if there are not enough Credits on your account or if payment has been made. In that case, it becomes a Basic Membership plan.

Which methods are there for paying for my Membership?
For all Premium Membership plans, you can choose one of two methods; either manual payment or subscription. The choice of payment method doesn’t affect the price or the functionality of Music2Deal. Membership payments are paid in advance.

Where do I find the payments I’ve made to Music2Deal?
You can view any payments you have made to Music2Deal here.

What happens if a debit payment fails?
If a debit payment fails for your subscription or you don’t have enough ‘Credits’ to pay for your Premium Membership, your music offers (except one) will be deactivated and you’ll be notified. As soon as you have obtained enough Credits or have made payment correctly, you can easily reactivate your Offers.
Credits

What are Credits?
Credits are the intern currency we use at Music2Deal. 100 Credits = 1.00 USD. You need Credits to upgrade your account from Basic to any Premium account.

How can I gain Credits?
You can purchase them or get Credits free by inviting friends in the music industry to Music2Deal. Invited friends have to be accepted by the Music2Deal team – as is the procedure for every registration within our network. You receive 250 Credits for each friend accepted. You can also gain 20 Credits each time you vote (not anonymously) on another member’s music offers and when your music offers are voted by other members you receive 4 Credits for every star. Why should I invite my friends to Music2Deal?
By inviting new people to Music2Deal, you are credited with 250 Credits for each one that’s accepted. Moreover you extend your network for more opportunities.

Why haven’t the friends I invited been taken into account?
In order to take your friends into account, Music2Deal has to accept their registration first. This process can take several hours or days.

What happens if I invited more friends than I needed to?
Fortunately, your Credits stay in your account until you use them. If you invited more friends than you needed they will be taken into account for the following month(s).
Charts

How often will the charts be updated?
Every Wednesday at 12:00 (UTC) our charts are updated automatically.

On what are the charts based?
The charts are generated by the votes of the offers. There needs to be a minimum of 3 votes on a particular music Offer. Results are based on the average number of votes over the last months.
