Personal accomplishments In 2006, Abdul Razak joined forces with a group of other musicians and called themselves “DIRI” and entered the Asia Beat Grand Final, organized by Yamaha Music Malaysia. With his talent and mastery in playing the keyboard, Abdul Razak was voted the Best Keyboardist for individual performance in the competition. His group “DIRI” achieved second placing against nine other bands. In March 2006, Abdul Razak with a group of other versatile musicians, came out with their first pop rock album entitled “Halusinasi” under the group name ‘JUMP-P’. The group received rave reviews from the media, amongst others , the songs in the album being a fusion of modern rock with traditional Malay melody and rhythm. Abdul Razak was also involved in sessions for producing songs/background music for movies,dramas and sitcoms. Noted are the movie “Kemarau Kasih” acted by Nasha Aziz, the drama “Batik Pengantin” shown on TV1 and the sitcom “Awie Records” on Astro. From October – December 2006, Abdul Razak was a member of THE SILKYBOYS BAND in the talkshow “Selamba Serius”. The band provided the live accompanying music in the programme, which featured on NTV7. The hosts were sisters Sharifah Amani and Aleeya. The group “DATA” had also involved him in their latest album “Satu Persoalan” where he played the keyboard in seven of their songs.
