Vic Steffens was the 2015 New England Music Awards Producer of the Year for his work on Frank Viele's "Fall Your Way" Cd, also the Record of the Year. Steffens first professional recording session was in 1968 at the famed A and R recording in NYC for Mainstream Records. The producer was the great Bob Shad, the engineer the equally great Phil Ramone. After a great run as a session and live drummer, Steffens decided to focus on producing and engineering. He has worked with Andrew Loog Oldham (Rolling Stones, Small Faces), Paul Leka (Steam, Peter Nero), Mike Chapman (look that one up!!), Harry Connick Jr., Edwin Hawkins (Oh Happy Day!), Bobby Brown, and many others. He brings that experience and creative sense to all of hs recording sessions.

For 27 years a leading studio in Southern New England owned and operated by award winning engineer/producer Vic Steffens. A great live room covering all genres, but particularly suited to recording live bands and musicians. Great mikes and signal paths. Several gold and platinum awards, consistent chart presence. Horizon Music Group also runs HMG Recordings and The Elm City Music Festival music conference in November, hosting regional bands and how to panels with professionals.
