Tawala Sharp brings an extensive background in marketing and brand management in his role as Chief Operations Officer. He is responsible for the structure, strategy, and execution of all aspects of The ZIMA Groups initiatives. His aim is to extend The ZIMA Groups presence and relevance on the world stage, build and guide The ZIMA Group brand and further enable the success of the company. Tawala’s roots are in business strategy, where he has consistently helped clients to develop new business and create sustainable value propositions for their brands. Prior to his work with The ZIMA Group, Tawala worked as a radio programmer for 13+ years in the country’s second largest entertainment capital, Los Angeles. His radio career began in 1995, when he started as an intern at KKBT - 92.3 the Beat (turned 100.3 the Beat then KRBV – V100). From there Tawala’s career took a historic roller coaster ride. He traversed five station owners, two station format changes, eleven Program Directors, four position eliminations and his positions have been just as diverse; going from internship to Interim Program Director and every position in-between. In his current role as COO of the ZIMA Group, Tawala continues to use his many years of experience to gather experts from the fields of Entertainment, Social Networking, Technology and Business to identify, develop and implement innovative, cutting edge platforms tailored to optimize the needs of clientele. His focus, no matter the client’s issue area or lifecycle stage, is to harness the collective acumen of The Zima Group to ensure its clients reach their organizational goals.
